To use OPUS en ligne, you must have:
- a computer with a USB port (2 GB of RAM and a 2.8 GHz processor or more);
- a monitor with a screen resolution of at least 1024 pixels (1024 x 768 or more):
- an OPUS card reader;
- a valid email address.

Notes:
- Windows XP, Vista and Linux operating systems are not compatible.
- Web browsers and operating systems are frequently updated. OPUS en ligne will continue to be compatible with a reasonable number of versions. Before downloading a more recent version of your browser or changing your operating system, please ensure your system is compatible with one of the supported configurations.
Browser configuration
When using for the first time, you must download and install the SmartCardPlugin.
- From the home page, choose between two options to download the plugin:
- Use the CLICK HERE link on the banner.
or - Click on the Initiate fare reload button. A window will open; click on the Download and install plugin button
- Use the CLICK HERE link on the banner.
- Afterwards, you must install the downloaded plugin.
Internet Explorer: at bottom of screen, click on Run or Save to run program later.
Firefox: You must save program file and, in top right corner of screen, click on arrow to display your download.
Chrome: at bottom left of screen, you will see the downloaded plugin.
MAC: you will find the plugin at bottom right of screen in your downloads. - From the home page, click on the Initiate fare reload button.
- Your browser will open a window so that you may allow the SmartCardPlugin to run. Click to give permission for plugin activation.
Tip: If you want your computer to remember that these components were installed, tick or untick the appropriate box when prompted by most browsers. The message requesting permission will no longer appear the next time.

Install the Java add-on
This website uses a Java add-on, a platform that enables you to safely use the OPUS service. Proper usage requires that your browser have an version of the add-on. Check to see if your add-on is up to date by clicking on the button below.
If you do not have Java, our website provides instructions for downloading it.

Javascript must be activated to use the online OPUS service. Note: Javascript and Java are two different things and each must be activated separately.

Card reader and Java
- If you have more than one reader, disconnect all but the OPUS en ligne reader and make sure your OPUS card is inserted in the OPUS en ligne reader.
- If only one reader is connected, check under Devices to make sure no other reader is installed.
- To check your devices:

- Click Start
- Click Control Panel and click Devices and Printers.
Windows 10
- Click Start
- Click Settings
- Select Devices.
MAC
- Click the apple icon.
- Click About This Mac and More Info.... Click Hardware and then USB to access the USB Device Tree. - If you can see more than one card reader, uninstall the second reader and keep only one reader, based on the model that you have.orororor
- Using your mouse, right-click the additional reader and eject or delete it.
- To check your devices:
- If the problem persists, contact your transit authority’s customer service department
- Check whether the reader is listed under Devices:

- Click Start
- Click Settings
- Select Devices.
MAC
- Click the apple icon

Step One: Upgrade your java version
Step Two: Verify that java is enabled in your web browser
- After installing or upgrading Java, completely quit, then relaunch the web browser.
- Clear the browser cache.
- On Macintosh Google Chrome is incompatible with most Java web applications and web pages that use a Java applet, due to the fact that the Java plugin is 64-bit and Google Chrome is 32-bit.
Mac OS 10.6
NOTE: Users should consult with their local IT support provider before installing or upgrading Java. Local applications may require specific Java versions.
Awareness: Java 6 is no longer receiving security updates from Apple.
- If you are unable to upgrade your operating system and have applications that require Java, Java 6 is packaged with the Macintosh operating system. Java 7 is available only for Mac OS 10.7 and higher.
- Use Apple's Software Update to upgrade to Java 6 update 45.
- Apple has not released security fixes for Java 6 update 45 and known security issues exist.
- Apple's recommendation is to upgrade your operating system, then install Java 7.
Verify that java is enabled in your web browser
- After installing or upgrading Java, completely quit, then relaunch the web browser.
- Clear the browser cache.

Step One: Install or upgrade Java

Firefox
- Firefox 2.0 or later is supported
- If needed, enable java plugin for Firefox
- After installing or upgrading Java, quit then relaunch Firefox.
If needed, clear browser cache, clear Java cache
- Close all browser windows and quit or exit the browser. Then relaunch the browser and try again to access the site.
If you no longer need Java, uninstall it
